While officially known as a plant and not a tree these green bananas are still attached to banana tree. about this point they will be cut down and shipped. A good estimate is this bunch weighs somewhere around 30 to 40 pounds. Photographing bananas for our gallery in this way was interesting. It defies how most people see and understand bananas. These specific banana's are Cavendish bananas a cultivar variety of Banana and typically the ones you see in your local grocery store.
