The journey to the top of Pikes peak is a long and slow trip even on the cog railroad. here is one of the many scenes you will see on the way up. The image this was based on includes part of the rocky mountains the lake and groves of pine trees and believe it or not, it was august, and the hazy look was caused by a snowstorm.
