This is an image of bracket fungus growing on a maple tree. Bracket fungus is not edible, but I do not know if its poisonous or not. I often find it interesting how nature takes care of its own. Truly from birth to death by their makers design. This image was taken in North Carolina however I believe that bracket fungus can be found about anywhere in the US that has conditions that allow for its growth.
