This is an image of a bright red cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) in a tree. This image was taken in NC. Cardinals are not an uncommon sight in North Carolina. What I really liked about this image and the captured scene is the rich reds of this bird. I have seen cardinals before, but never quite this red.
