I celebrated my birthday at the "Frederick In Flight Hot Air Balloon Festival" in Frederick, Colorado. I have to say this was the most exciting balloon festival I had ever attended. A couple things made it stand out. First, it began with 4 parachutists coming down overhead and landing in the field where we were all standing. Second, the launch site was a large community park and the spectators were allowed free roam of the field while the balloons were being inflated and then taking off in flight. My cheeks ached from grinning from ear to ear for the entirety of the event.
