Description
"These laboring hands, I gave to this life, but the holiest hands are the hands of my wife" (from Shirl's play "The Strudel Lady"). When a Jewish wife and mother lights the Sabbath candles on Friday at sundown, she is blessing the home and her family. Moreover, some believe that the interposing of the two triangles forming the six-point Jewish star represents the union of the husband and wife, further sanctifying the marriage and home.
