This is an image of a flooded creek pond in South Carolina. Creeks and Creek pond wetlands happen in south carolina in the transition zone between the highlands and the flatlands.

This image was captured because the reflective nature of this still pond caught my eye while driving a backroad in South Carolina. It was just kind of cool, and even more impressive when I stopped the car and got out to capture the image. It is reminiscent of many southern swampy areas.

The area had received about 7 days straight of rain. Most of the lotus flowers were under water yet the water was "still". I suppose this could be considered one of my my "monet type lily images".
