The F-117 Nighthawk is a retired American stealth aircraft that was operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). It was one of the first operational aircraft designed with stealth technology to avoid detection by radar. Here are some interesting facts about the F-117:

Stealth Design: The F-117 was designed to have a low radar cross-section, making it difficult for enemy radar systems to detect and track it. Its unique faceted shape helped scatter and absorb radar waves, reducing its visibility on enemy radar screens.

Classified Origins: The F-117 Nighthawk was developed under a top-secret program known as "Have Blue" in the late 1970s. The program aimed to create a stealthy aircraft for special missions, and its existence was not publicly acknowledged until 1988.

Maiden Flight: The first flight of the F-117 took place on June 18, 1981. The aircraft's unique appearance earned it the nickname "Wobblin' Goblin" among the flight crews.
