Beautifully done, Regina! I have sometimes used the oval shape myself with flowers, but I have to admit that it is only to eliminate unwanted peripheral clutter, as my level of competency in Photoshop is not advanced enough to use the Layers method,

What a wonderful view of this beautiful rose. In the community college art class I argued constantly with the art teacher who hated when I used ovals. He tried to tell me that was old fashion and out. I told him phooey, that he needed to take notes because I love doing paintings with ovals. :-) Thank you for proving my point Regina.
