Description
In 1966, Dodge offered buyers a performance-enhanced version of its Dart, built specifically for D Stock drag racing. A few enterprising road racers discovered that these cars were competitive in the SCCA’s new Trans-American Sedan Championship series after some minor modifications. A mere 50 Dodge D-Darts were built in total, and only a handful were ever run in the SCCA’s Trans Am series. Sponsored by Westlake Dodge, this one is decked out in red metal-flake and white livery and was once reportedly raced by Dick Carter; aka "Johnny Dart”.
