Description
The Temple Bell Andromeda (Pieris japonica) is the flower that grows on oriental andromeda shrubs. The flower itself is 1/4/ to 1/2 inch in length and grows in bunches (similar to cherry blossoms). The flowers are white and have a basic bell shape to them. The shrub is very ornamental but the pant and its flowers are very poisonous to both humans and animals. It is indigenous to Japan, China, and Taiwan however it is imported into the US for flower and shrub gardens.

Chris I have seen these beautiful little bells somewhere in my travels but didn't know what they were. I have been to China and Taiwan so must had been in one or the other or maybe both. They must had made a impression as I remembered them, A great capture that I enjoyed viewing again............F/L.......Sandy
