Description
At the turn of the 20th century farm life was much simpler than it is today. This work is a representation of what you would have seen on many farms as you traveled through the smoky mountains in North Carolina. The smoky mountain farms traditionally had split rail fences, manual or horse drawn hay rakes and the like. New technology such as steam driven tractors would grace the area but considerably later than in many other parts of the US. a much simpler time indeed.
