Description
It's not that easy to get sunset photos in Kona, Hawaii because at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which is about 50 air miles from the Kona coast, Kilauea and the Pu`u `O`o expel about 400 metric tons of sulfur dioxide a day, which is pushed up the West side of the island and fouls the air quality. I was lucky when I got this one. I wasn't planning to shoot on this day and when I looked out the window, I saw the sky aglow with this beautiful peach color. I grabbed the camera and ran to the pier. I am ready to shoot and now have a sailboat in the photo. Just goes to show that sometimes the unplanned turns out to be the best plan!
