This is my fine art image gallery. All the images in this gallery are Monochrome, Sepia, or tinted or toned. There is a distinct difference between color and Black and white photography. The obvious aside, monotone relies on texture and light to make an image great where color relies on brilliance of color depth and details. I truly love B&W images it is where I got my start in photography. That said this gallery contains images of a wide range of subjects. You will find pics of mammals and birds, flowers and plants, scenic places and landscapes, antique cars and trains, as well as historic places. The gallery gives a glimpse of the past as well as the present. I created black and white images because I have realized that although color prints are awesome and have come a long way somehow with color in certain images you lose the depth and character of those images. While the color images of the same subject doing the same thing are splendid a dimension of the image is lost in the colors. In those same images in black and white or monochrome the lines, the light and the subtle nuances within the image really come to life. It is my sincerely hope that you enjoy viewing this monochrome fine art gallery as much as I enjoyed producing it. I am happy that the world still sees black and white photography as relevant in a society that everything is based on speed and the latest and greatest of things. Not only is this format the base in which the art form has evolved today it is also part of the future as black and white photographers make the transition from film to digital. Even in our digital world B&W photography both film and digital remain and thrive. The images in this gallery are made available as fine art prints and home décor by FAA.
